Antique Art Nouveau Silver Ham or Lamb Bone Holder, in French this is called "manche a gigot". It will hold the bone while carving a leg of lamb or ham so that your hands stay clean. The silver handle has a beautiful silver embossed floral art nouveau design

Made in the late 1800's to very early 1900's, the Art Nouveau period was relatively short, which makes art nouveau pieces rarer to find. The "business" end of the holder is in good working order. Such a wonderful table antique to add to your collection.

I believe this to be silver, it is worn and tarnished but I think has the minerva hallmark for French silver. Bought in France by us

Measures 21cms long and 7cms wide

A rare find!
