Antique French Bistro Pyrogene or Match Striker / Ribbed White Ironstone

Antique French white ironstone ribbed pyrogene or match striker, hollow to hold the matches and has the ribs to act as strikers

These are now highly collectible and very sought after as they get rarer to find, sourced by us in France

In excellent condition for its age

Measures 18cms high and the base is 10cms diameter. Rim is 5.5cms diameter.

Please note that these strikers do not work with safety matches, only strike anywhere and really should be considered purely decorative, unless you purchase a self adhesive modern striking surface sticker for the base
