Antique Stoneware Advertising Cream Dairy Pot, Stranraer, Boracised, Wigtownshire Creamery

Antique stoneware, dairy cream pot from the early 20th century. Pots like these were produced in large numbers throughout Britain, and were branded differently for each dairy.

This is for Stranraer, Wigtownshire Creamery

Cream pots were mass-produced and roughly made, so will generally have faults, rough patches and imperfect printing. They were intended to be used and thrown away, so it's likely that most of those around today have been rescued from old rubbish tips.

Stands at 11cm H x 5.4cm base diameter x 5cm rim diameter.

Has some glaze imperfections/bubbling but in excellent condition for age with no chips, cracks or crazing
