Antique Temperance Male Nurses Co Operation Ltd Advertising Paperweight

A vintage Glass paperweight for the Temperance Male Nurses Co-Operation Ltd.

This was one of a number of agencies in the late 19th/early 20th Century which provided male nurses for domiciliary care. Often from a Military or Asylum background as there were few general hospitals providing training, this agency advocated abstinence from alcohol as a means of proving their reliability.

Condition is generally good but with some surface scratches and minor blemishes and quite a large nibbled area to one side
