Devonmoor Pottery Scrafitto Porthscatho Blue and White Devonshire Milk Jug
Here is an interesting milk jug by the Devonmoor pottery and from their 'Blueware' range. Devonmoor introduced the 'Blueware' range during the 1950's as their traditional range was on the decline. They produced an number of different designs each of which were in this striking blue colour and with different scrafitto/sgraffito (incised writing) designs often as souvenir pieces featuring place names. This milk jug has the word 'Porthscatho' inscribed and picked out in white. Blueware was produced from the mid 1950's up until the factory closed in 1981.
Look lovely on the breakfast table or as a vase
Measures 15cms from spout to handle and is 13cms high
