French Mouli Mill Legume Grater / Mechanical Vegetable Mill in Tempered Steel Vintage 1940's Kitchen Utensil/ Culinary Accessory

Here we have a talking point piece of vintage kitchenalia - the Mouli-Legumes, made in France.

Made from metal, this would have been used to finely grate etc. The red wooden handle moves the blade around inside in a circular motion, grating the veg. The feet on the base fold out to clip over a bowl

It is in vintage condition. The metal is now quite dull and scratched, but the paint on the handle is still lovely and bright

The stamp states - Brevete SGDG 1 Made in France. This was a French patent which ceased to exist in 1968.

The Mouli-Legume measures 19.5 cm in diameter and 34 cm in length.
