Set of four antique French pewter spoons

Popular throughout the 18th and 19th centuries in France, these antique pewter spoons are known as "cuillères à ragoût" as they were used to eat stews and thick soups

Each piece has been hand made from pewter metal and has a classic fiddle shape handle with line detailing and bowl with pointed tip

Measures 20cms long and the bowl is 4cms across

I washed these but I have not polished as you can take away the aged patina but not put it back! I will leave that up to the purchaser
