This is a lovely antique silver plated sugar sifter spoon. It is shaped like a small ladle having a curved handle twisted details and the crest of the town of Hastings in enamel on the end of the handle.

The bowl is shaped like a flower and has a pattern of holes which allow the sugar to flow freely. Sugar spoons were very popular with wealthy Victorians who would use them to sprinkle sugar from the sugar bowl onto fruit, puddings or cakes.

It is a classic piece of flatware, which would add grace and style to either a modern or traditional table setting. It would look lovely used for an afternoon tea or any special occasion when only the best will do! A lovely gift for a lover of antique tableware or why not treat yourself!

The spoon has no makers marks

Measuring 14 cm (5.5 inches) in length and 4.5 cm (just under 2 inches) across the bowl of the spoon (approximately)

The spoon is in a good vintage condition, see photos for details.
