Set of Four English Staffordshire Swinnertons Coaching Days Egg Cups on Matching Plate

The plate has four indents where the egg cups sit

Marked to the base with the Reg 759087 which dates them to 1930

Incredibly rare set with no chips or cracks, except one egg cup which has an old chip which I have photographed.

The glaze does have extensive age crazing all over which I have tried to photograph

Plate measures 16 x 16cms
Egg cups are 4.5cms high and 5.6cms diameter

"Coaching Days" refers to a pattern of vintage tableware produced by Swinnertons, a Staffordshire pottery company, featuring scenes of horse-drawn carriages and coaching inns. The "Hampton Ivory" line describes the colour of the base ceramic for this and other Swinnertons patterns popular in the 1930s and 1940s
