Rustic antique buff coloured salt-glaze caviar jar

Originally made to store / sell caviar in the late 1800s.

Perfect as part of a display or to use as a vase for fresh/dried flowers creating character and a rustic or vintage décor.

The our antique stoneware items are all unique from being buried in Victorian landfill and show signs of age, which adds to their charm. No cracks or chips, some staining

Approximately 10cm high by 7cm base diameter

Have the impressed mark for The Pottery, Fulham to the bottom.

These have been dug from Victorian landfill, so many of these went to landfill as from around 1880 it became uneconomical to reuse old materials. Therefore councils started paying to have rubbish dumped in landfill. This short window continued until around 1914 when manufacturing became much more industrialised.
