A vintage tall ironstone pie funnel dating from the 1940s / 1950s. Also known as a crust support or steam vent to allow hot steam to be released while a pie is cooking to avoid the filling bursting out under pressure. A highly collectable kitchenalia item. Would look great on a dresser shelf with a selection of other vintage items.

Condition: Good, some scuffs from use and glaze faults, the hole in the top is off centre, showing it was hand made!
