Vintage Italian Florentine Wooden Trinket Box, Handcrafted Gilded Gesso

Vintage Florentine gilded gesso trinket box, handcrafted from wood with hand-painted decoration in a traditional Italian pattern.

It has a simple hinged lid.

From the first half of the 20th century.

The gesso coated wood exterior has a timeworn chippy patina.

This small footed box is a beautiful item to display or can be used to contain trinkets or small treasures.

The box is in vintage condition with chipping and wear consistent with age, which can be seen in pics.
