This charming piece of Victorian/Edwardian advertising and cosmetic history once contained a pomade made from fatty cow marrow mixed with perfumes, marketed as a miracle cure to invigorate, strengthen, nourish, and beautify hair, prevent baldness, and even restore grey hair to its natural color — the ultimate in luxury quack cosmetic cures!
